Kate Sawicki, DO
Dr. Sawicki is a board-certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). She grew up in Carmel, Indiana where she spent her childhood and teen years competitively rock climbing. When it came time for college, she was awarded a scholarship to pole vault at Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana. There, she graduated with a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and earned multiple NCCAA national titles for pole vaulting. She graduated from medical school at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
With a heart for the great outdoors, Dr. Sawicki has always been drawn out west. She moved away from Indiana in 2018 for pediatric residency. She trained at University of New Mexico Hospital and continued to practice in Albuquerque following training. One of her favorite parts about general pediatrics is the lasting bond that forms with the whole family when caring for a child as they grow. She loves partnering with parents to determine the best, personalized care for their child.
Now, Dr. Sawicki and her family have made the move to the beautiful Western Slope and are excited to plant roots in Grand Junction. When she is not working, you can find her with her wonderful husband, Tyler and beautiful toddler, Henry. They love to explore outdoors, hike, camp, meet new people, and invest in the community.
