Nasal Saline Rinse Recipe - From the Altitude Providers

We understand how difficult the winter season might be for parents and we know you want to do everything you can to make sure your children are as comfortable as possible when dealing with a cough or stuffy nose.

There are some things we can give and do for the children that helps ease the discomfort from a cough. Below is a recipe for a homemade nasal saline rinse that our providers recommend using!

How to Make your Own Saline Nasal Rinse:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp Non-Iodized Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 8 oz Warm Water

Add ½ teaspoon of non-iodized salt and ¼ teaspoon of baking soda to 1 cup (8 oz) of warm water. Stir to dissolve the salt and baking soda. You should use sterile, distilled or previously boiled water for nasal washes.
